Why Can’t Hindus Have Regular Temple Visits Like Churches To Save Hinduism?

why people are not making contact with god in a regular manner as like Christians, Muslims. they have their own rules ,regulations, identity. We are losing our ground Being in a Hindu Based country. Many of our people are not aware of our philosophy like Puranas, Vedas, Upanishads, holy scriptures, Eternity, yoga, Dyana, so many things which can revive the whole world as on today to a divine place.

    Friend,
I think you are asking this question not from India, but from some where else.
At present, the Hinduism Religious awareness is so much, that you can not even imagine.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devastaanams have opened a TV CHANNEL ERXCLUSIVELY VEDIC BASED and it shows , around the clock all Hindu Religion connected matters.
Excellent Vedic Pundits recite every day morning the Vedas.
Scholars are giving excellent lectures on all topics like Soundarya Lahari,Shivananda Lahari , Lalita Sahasra Namams etc.
Hindu customs and Vratams etc are being broadcast live.
Daily TTD channel broadcasts Venkateswara kalyaanam LIVE.
There other HINDU CHANNETS explaining Ramayana, Mahabharatam, Mahabhagavatam and explaining the secrets behind Hindu marriages etc.
Every HINDU is doing daily worship in home and all temples are performing excellent arrangements for the Devotees.
For Hindus GOD is not a PART TIME BUSINESS,
All the 24 hours in a day , one is supposed to spend in the THOUGHT OF GOD.
So it is not a SUNDAY ONLY business. It is part and parcel of life.
Hindu offers food , whatever he eats, first to God and then takes it as HIS Prasaadam.
So No need to worry, friend.
Hinduism needs no one`s support. It is an Eternal Religion.
    It is Sanatana Dharma.

I think it would be great if Hindus would talk more about the many wonderful philosophies and ideas that have come from India I know that in America, we like a lot of Yoga and other Hindu-related ideas. It is very inspirational, and I think people should at least be familiar with the ideas that encourage a better life and peace, regardless of whatever little differences may exist amongst Hindus.

  3. The strength of Hinduism lies in its adaptability
to the infinite diversity of human nature. It has
a highly spiritual and abstract side suited to the
philosopher, a practical and concrete side suited
to the worldly individual, an aesthetic and
ceremonial side suited to the person of poetic
feeling and imagination, and a quiescent and
contemplative side suited to the lover of peace
    and seclusion.
    “All paths lead to God”
Religion is a liability in other countries. Such an
attitude breeds atheists. All other countries have
mono-theism. Hinduism is poly-theism. All rivers
finally join the one ocean. In the same way, worship of
any god will finally reach Almighty. In India, we are
free to choose a god of our liking. This is what it
keeps our individuality and spiritual freedom . We can
make religion our way of life, and live a very lively
life. It shows the unity in diversity among Indians.

  4. It is up to the person that wants to be enlightened to do it. To me “Hinduism” wouldn’t be what it is if it weren’t like what it is. Let the person decide when they want it because it’s their own desire and not a don’t do anything on the 7th day type of thing like in Christianity.

Hinduism is older than the other major religions of the world, and thus is even more anachronistic.
All of them need to be recognized for what they are – relics of the past – and consigned to history, where they belong.

  6. We have a Hindu temple here, in the U.S. I think they have regular services of some sort. Why else would they have spent all that money to built it? And in India, don’t they go to the temple on a regular basis? Don’t they know about their religion?
