If you only missed 1 pill (yesterday's) take both yesterdays and todays pill together today. So you will be taking 2 today and then tomorrow resume your regular schedule of taking 1 pill a day. You shouldn't need back up birth control unless you've missed more than 1 pill. Good luck!

Lots of doctors have sample packs or you can get packs at cost (I'm Canadian its $8-$12 last time I got them depending on the brand) from plannedparenthood, so that's an option to get around insurance. It doesn't have to be the exact brand some are basically the same.
If I'm reading your question correctly (hey I'm a mom so my brain is addled) you really only missed one pill:
Wednesday's pill: you took Thursday at 5pm
Thursday's pill: you took 2 hours late with Wednesday's pill
I'm not entirely sure about ortho tri-cyclin low but I know that for progesterone only pills you realistically have a two hour leeway on the dose, for combination pills its normally more like 4-6 hours. So I wouldn't worry too much about being two hours and 20 minutes latehttp://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-…
Taking the progestin-only pill at the same time each day is essential. If you take it more than three hours past the regular time, you need to use a backup method of birth control for 48 hours after taking the late pill.
