If your lung cancer is from asbestos, is it diagnosed mesothelioma or can you have other types?

If one has been exposed to asbestos for a while, is the chance of them getting mesothelioma inevitable?? If so, is there any chance one could survive it?

I have contracted an asbestos related tumour which am informed was dormant and could have been inhaled over 40 years ago. I was the second person on site when an Victor bomber crashed on take off in 1962 I spent over two hours at this site with all debris and chemicals etc but wasn’t aware [...]

I have spend about at most 5 hrs demolishing a bathroom with tile and inhaled the dust most of the time, am I going to be able to sue due to developing mesothelioma?
Really, am I going to get cancer?

I’d like to know what i could do to help prevent getting mesothelioma or any other illneses that could follow.
yea i was exposed, and want to know what i can do to lower the chances of it.

I’ve had a cough since that time, but it has never gotten worse, but it’s never gotten better. My voice goes out quickly, I can’t talk for long periods of time.
