Health aware

I’m writing my Senator. I want to make sure my points are accurate. Please correct me if you see any errors.
1. The Bill cuts over $400 Billion from Medicare over the next 10 years. We’re told this won’t affect seniors, but if that was the case, why not make the cut anyway apart from the Health Care Reform Bill?
2. The Bill does nothing to cut actual health care costs. It merely shifts who pays for the health care on to the taxpayers.
3. Issues that could actually cut health care costs, like Tort Reform or how health care is provided, are not addressed.
4. It mandates that the State of California increase the Medicaid / Medi Cal income threshold from 100% of poverty level to 133%. This will result in California spending Billions more of taxpayer money we cannot afford.
5. While the Bill is basically revenue neutral for the first 10 years, it does that by starting the new taxes and fees now, and the bulk of the expenses don’t start until 4 years from now. After the first 10 years, this will turn into a very costly entitlement.
6. It will harm Small Business by imposing additional mandates and taxes on them. Many small businesses will be faced with an 8% penalty on their payroll.
7. It imposes a fine on the uninsured of 2.5 percent of their income if they don’t buy insurance. It even has the possibility of 5 years of jail time for those individuals not buying insurance or paying the fine.
8. It imposes new taxes on medical devices and even taxes on high quality health care insurance provided by employers and unions.
