Oh and by the by, people are not dying because they are denied health care. In the USA if you go to a hospital, it is AGAINST THE LAW for the to deny you health care, even if you cannot pay for it. There are shot clinics for all the inoculations that any child or adult may need and they do not have to pay for them. The government already runs both Medicaid and Medicare and the are both so broken and so in debt and the want to take over a new program. They have shown that they are unable to keep one afloat and unless you are one of the tax paying citizens that will be “fliting the bill” you really need to be quiet. It is very easy to speak against something when you have nothing to lose. The real thing that needs to be done is to wrangle in the SUE HAPPY lawyers that drive all doctors to the point of fear that they will run any and all tests just to protect themselves. But you better believe that will never happen. Obama is a lawyer at heart and his campaign was funded greatly by lawyers from all over the world. Oh by the by, since this health care reform has been brought to light, a new study was just finished and it shows that women do not need to have mammo every year and that self breast exam are not necessary. Being a survivor myself this is atrocious. I found my lump through self exam 10 years ago. Believe me if the start to ration mammo and paps like they are advising to do here, I am sure it will not be long till it starts with your program if it already has started. This is going to set breast cancer surviving back years.
Obama knew that greasing the palms of the largest senior citizens group in the country was going to be necessary if they wanted health care reform. The AARP looks out for seniors, right after they’re done looking out for themselves.
I assume dues and kick backs from insurance companies.
They endorsed the health care plan before it was ever passed by the house, so they couldn’t have read it.

I’m 65 and understand the concerns of the older folks.
I’ve never done serious study of AARP but I have read articles that this group is less than honorable.
Scam-artists work at all levels and all ages of society.
Btw, I don’t know why they don’t push for mail order prescriptions like they did during Bush’s term. The Bush administration attacked AARP for it. Through the years, AARP has done well for seniors.

Medicare Advantage and Medi-gap are not the same thing. You lose validity when you confuse the two.
