Getting A Bachelors Of Science In Health Science?
Is that a difficult degree to study?
I am a senior in high school and am still unsure what I want to major in. However, I’m interested in getting into the medical field, so I thought that would be my best bet.
I love Science and English, but am not good at Math.. AT ALL! It has always been a challenge for me. I only did the requiered 2 years of math in high school. Is that enough?
Basically, I am nervous about the whole “math” thing.
What are your opinions on the field and how important is math for this major?
Three or four years of high school math are required for admission by many four-year colleges.
Many colleges require a semester of college math for all students.
Math is required for and used in virtually all college science classes. The necessary math is at least equal to second year high school algebra and is often at a much higher level. Math is the language of science.
A semester or more of college math is required by medical schools.
I don’t like math either, so I went to law school. An English undergraduate major is good preparation for law school.
If you don’t want to take any more math and want a bachelor’s degree and then professional school, you will have to look thoroughly at college and university websites to find an undergraduate school that meets your preference.
If you are lucky, the college guidance counselor at your high school may have a list of colleges that require little or no math.
