Clinton & Dems Gave No Prescription Help Or Universal Health?

… even though Clinton was in the White House for 8 years. He never submitted such bills.
And, even though he controlled the Congress for 2 years, Clinton did NEITHER of those two things.
Now, let’s all say that Bill couldn’t do anything even though he controlled the House and Senate in 93 and 94.
Bush gave prescription coverage to seniors. Clinton gave ZERO dollars for med coverage to seniors.
Time to ignore this and bash Bush. Right, Dems?

  1. In 1992, Clinton was elected on the promise of universal heath care. Now, Hillary is using the same ploy. Do not fall for it America. She is too connected to the “establishment”. A vote for Hillary is a vote wasted.

  2. You refer to “universal health coverage” as if it were a good thing…
“You think healthcare is expensive now? Wait until it’s free…”
If we want the European standands of medical care and economic stagnation that they suffer for it, then maybe it’s an option. I think the majority of Americans, though, would prefer not to. There was a story in the news about one European guy (English?) who couldn’t find a dentist anywhere around that was on the medical plan thing, so he fixed a broken tooth himself with glue.
    Is this what we want?

  3. Well, they tried… the trouble is that Republicans are, at their hearts, obstructionists.

  4. Actually I’m a Libertarian and Bush’s drug plan is something I oppose.

  5. just because we are in a unpopular war, it seems like the people are ready to throw the rep out, BUT THE dems. have no plan either. other than raise taxes and make gov bigger. In fact most dems voted for WAR. now they want out, think about it. all they care about is themselfs, not the people .

  6. I’m not a Democrat, not am I a Republican. However, you need to get your facts straight. The Clinton administration conduceted an exaustive stydy of the health care crises. The recommendation of a near universal plan brought the full weight of the conservative movement down on he and his wife. As for the coverage for seniors, you should do a little bit of research into that plan. Yes it is a step but it is at best a poor one. I am not bashing anyone and many of my friends who are Democrat and Republican are not bashing anyone. We are simply saying there is much work to be done.
Rather than spending your time attacking other why don’t you join us in this work?

  7. No, you’re right. Clinton was a terrible, terrible man.
All he did was what twelve years of Republicans couldn’t do – balance the budget and create a national financial surplus.
And where is that now? Oh, right.
    Iraq.

The Bush prescription plan was all about giving the drug companies the biggest chunk of corporate welfare in history-prescription drugs are now 20%-150% more than they did before Plan D.Just another example of the chimp taking care of his corporate masters.

  9. what did you think was gonna happen? maybe you thought government would look out for it’s citizens not gonna happen never will.

  10. actually, that was going to be Hillarys baby…her goal as first lady was to reform the health care for the US and improve it ,,,,make it affordable and so on….she did nothing to improve it,,,,I have a 15 k deductible and still pay over 200 bucks a month…thanks for the reform Hillary…
I worked for a health ins. company during her watch over the system and the premium levels jumped the highest they ever have % based…I think she would make a great President….lol…what has she ever done other than vote for the war and now bash bush for it….the Clintons are white trash hillbillys that need to go back to ark. and leave us alone.
I am sorry, calling them white trash is insulting to white trash.

  11. No, time to stop bashing Clinton, who at least TRIED. Bush has a more compliant Congress, so he deserves more blame.
