Are The Senate Dems Trying To Make It A Criminal Offense To Oppose Obama’s Health Care?

In a mailer about health care from the insurer Humana they said:
“if the proposed funding cut levels become law, millions of seniors and disabled individuals could lose many of the important benefits and services”
Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont claims this is scare tactics and ordered a criminal investigation.
The government has already ordered the mailings halted because they say it “is misleading and confusing”
There is nothing requiring insurers to provide all benefits in the health care bill and cutting the funding would force insurers cut benefits.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090921/ap_o…
So apparently telling people of the possibe effects of Obama’s health care reform is soon to be a criminal offense if Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont gets his way.

  1. Some of the responses here are frightening. Not surprising, but frightening that they would justify tyrants in congress threatening criminal investigations and ordering the mails of a private company to be halted just because they dont like what the company is saying and claiming. Assuming for the moment that Humana is indeed lying about governments intentions, that still doesnt give the Senate the authority to stop their mails and ordering a criminal investigation.
    Baucus ought to resign. Obviously the constitution is meaningless to him and he has violated his oath of office.

    It’s interesting to see who Sen. Max Baucus gets contributions from. It’s easy to see why he wants it to be mandatory that people buy health insurance. It also seems very likely that gutting the Medicare budget would result in the loss of important benefits and services.

    my moms retired and has Humana they have not covered a single bill of hers…she found a lump in her breast humana claims its a pre existing condition……..shed had humana for 9 years !!!! under her contract with humana she can not switch 2 medicare till april of next year………..HUMANA SUCKS……

  5. Lol….so you support lying to the American people? Why the hell would you believe what Humana says about seniors. The AMA and the AARP wouldn’t get behind a plan that cut benefits to seniors…..But Humana would.
