My first wife used to hit me and I never hit her back for fear of hitting her too hard and causing real damage. But after she claimed in court that I hit her all the time I have changed my mind. Before me and my current wife got together I warned her that if she ever hits me I will hit her back no restraint BS no sympathy. If she hits me I will hit her back and if I go to jail then so be it. I can get even for that too. But when she gets mad I usually tell her to go away or I go away and when she is calm I resume talking to her. She gets less angry during arguments as time goes on because she knows I will not tolerate any abuse from her.

If a man hits a woman, she should hit him back. If he can over power her she needs to have a blunt object close by to whack his *** with. I wouldn’t let no man hit me and get away with it, I don’t care how strong they are. I have been in abusive situations being abuse by a man. When I was 18, I was pregnant and my mom’s bf was drunk and came after me. I stabbed him twice in the arm and shoulder and he went running. You have to do what you have to do sometimes.
If a woman hits a man first, he needs to restrain her and/or call the law. Men can be over powering to a woman, even if she is in the wrong. But I wouldn’t hit a man and not be expecting to get hit back. It still isn’t fair. If the woman knows the man can over power her and hurt her, she should know better than to hit him.

However, most government domestic violence shelters only help female victims.
