Why Do People Have Cancer In Canada More Then The Other Counties ?

Is it because in the 60s and 70s Canada was the nuclear power of the world . Did it get passed on from there gens .

  1. A couple things:
    Canada is one of the few countries that has population-based cancer registries covering most of the country’s population. This makes it hard to compare with other countries, especially 3rd world countries that simply may not diagnose accurately or at all the cancer.
    Keeping this in mind, the comparisons we do make don’t necessarily show a strait across the board Canadian Cancer rate lead, various types of cancer are more prevalent in other countries as well, which could suggest other factors such as diet, industrial and houesold chemical exposure (voluntary and involuntary, i.e. smoking).
    So it would be pretty hard to stake out one single cause.
    Nuclear power, properly managed isn’t necessarily more cancer causing than say open coal mining or petrolium distillation.
