What Is The Success Rate Of Ovarian Cancer Survivors And Approximately How Long Do The Surgeries Take?

My niece is in surgery to remove an ovary (left) and I just got a text message saying that she is still in surgery. I want to send her some comforting words. Any suggestions PLEASE.

Survival depends greatly on the stage and you will not know that until after surgery. The amount of time surgery takes also depends greatly on the extent of the disease, if she has had other abdominal surgery, etc. Several areas need to be inspected and as much of the disease, hopefully all, is removed as possible.
