Basal cell carcinoma is a type of common skin cancer and because it rarely metastasizes it is considered less life threatening than other cancers. Basal cell skin cancer occurs more often on the face. Both my parents have this type of skin cancer and see a dermatologist regularly. She monitors anything that looks like a basal cell carcinoma and removes it right in the office. It’s been over ten years since they were diagnosed and other than seeing their doctor regularly it has had no impact on their lives. (my Dad had it on his ear, my Mom on her nose).

In the U.S. over 1 million cases of non-melanoma skin cancer are diagnosed each year. Only about 5,000 of these cases become fatal. And, most of the fatal cases would not be fatal if the cancer was diagnosed early via regular check-ups with a dermatologist.

i would guess a toe or a finger. cause those really wouldn’t have a HUGE effect like a joint cancer.
Skin cancer I would assume.
