  1. UV light is energetic enough to bounce electrons away from molecules in your DNA. When that happens, the configuration of the DNA changes and it cannot replicate. Your body does have ways of preventing this, but if it happens enough, it cant keep up and more errors build up and cancer starts appearing from all the errors. Mistakes in DNA=cancer.

  2. Sunburns don’t cause skin cancer. The sun is healthy for you. A sunburn is just a burn it doesn’t cause cancer. What actually causes skin cancer is sunblock. believe it or not. Sunblock has toxic chemicals that soak into the skin increasing cancer rates. Sunblock also blocks out vitamins from the sun making it where you are lacking those vitamins making you unhealthy.

  3. one bad sunburn wont increase your risks that much. however if your getting frequent bad sunburns that can increse it dramatically. i am fair skinned and sunburn easily so i use a lot of sunscreen.
Skin cancer relates to sunburns basically by the chemicals the sun gives off. Also dont tan! that is also a form of sun damage that CAN cause skin cancer

  4. cuz you burn your skin
    Preventing Skin Cancer Tips
Seek shade, especially during midday hours (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), when UV rays are strongest and do the most damage.
Cover up with clothing to protect exposed skin.
Get a hat with a wide brim to shade the face, head, ears, and neck.
Grab shades that wrap around and block as close to 100% of both UVA and UVB rays as possible.
Rub on sunscreen with sun protective factor (SPF) 15 or higher, and both UVA and UVB protection.

  5. if you have even ever gotten sun burned once
you have a chance of getting skin cancer
i don’t know how that works but it just does
its one of the suns rays that make you burn that cause skin cancer
so the more you have gotten burned the more chances you have of getting skin cancer

  6. sun gives off UV radiation, radiation causes cell and gene mutation, which can give you skin cancer
