One out of three smokers who die, die because they smoked. That's from an old Oxford University study.

Your chances are higher the younger you start.
 Depending on your lungs endurance.
Just think of your lungs as a white cage...
The more smoke one the cage, the more the white cage will start to look black. Some cages are going to be highly damaged...other will not.

It doesn't mean anything just because they haven't gotten cancer. Everyone is different including your lungs. Just because they didn't get it yet doesn't mean they won't or that you will or won't. Anything is possible. Smoking anything increases your chances of cancer. It is best to quit now and reduce your risks of devoloping it. Hope this helped :)

Lung cancer, or even combining all types of cancer, isn't the largest danger of smoking. It is actually heart disease. There are a multitude of diseases and problems caused by smoking. Your relatives who smoke may be old, but people are living longer and longer these days, and chances are that their lives will end earlier than necessary because of their smoking. The fact that they have been lucky enough not to get cancer (so far) doesn't mean that their smoking isn't harming and killing them right now.
I think you should quit because of how deadly smoking is, not because it is hard for you to get cigarettes. This is the best time to quit because maybe you aren't that addicted yet, but you will be soon if you keep smoking. By quitting, you can reverse most of the harm that you have done to yourself so far.
You should also stay away from any family members who smoke, as the secondhand smoke from their cigarettes is also deadly. You should tell your parents not to allow smoking in the home if they are allowing it now.

Well ya dont smoke alot, so i wouldn't worry. To be honest and I dont mean this nasty or to sound like a sicko, but no one is safe from cancer no matter how healthy. The lady next door to me died from lung cancer and she didn't smoke
