My Mom Needs To Start Taking Arimidex For Breast Cancer?

It’s almost $300 per month and she needs to take it for 5 years. Does anyone know where you can get coupons, samples etc?

  1. this must be a pretty new medication because even the online site I use charges 300 per month. i can only recommend what the others have said, call the manufacturer, ask your doctor for samples and keep watching online sites for price reductions.   2. Yes, the oncologists office may have some samples. I guess you could call the office and ask for the phone number to the regional drug rep for AstraZeneca if you’re feeling bold enough to do that, otherwise usually the nurses would be nice enough to set you up with samples once you are an established patient in the office.
    Many times the drug manufacturer (AstraZeneca makes Arimidex) have programs for patients to be able to receive medication at a significantly reduced rate.
    Femara is a very similar drug that I’ve seen prescribed instead of Arimidex. You might look into seeing if that one is cheaper for her.

  3. Arimidex is really expensive for those without prescription drug coverage. I’m going to have to start it later this year.
