Is Frank Thomas A Cancer In The Clubhouse And A Choker At The Plate For The Blue Jays?
Not any more, they cut him. The bum leaves runners on base all the time. He sucks in the clutch and gets his homers at the end of the season when the jays are 12 games out. He sucks so bad, i dont blame them for cutting this dud. What a selfish ball player. Will the Blue Jays be better without the BIG HURT?
Whats your opinion?
Frank hit .286 with runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs this year.
He almost always starts slow, but didn’t he lead the team in HR and RBI last year? I’d be surprised if he didn’t lead in OBP too.
If a player doesn’t get cranky about being benched, how good a ballplayer would he be? They have to be competitive that way.
I didn’t think signing him was a good idea in the first place, but I don’t think he was harming the clubhouse in any way. He was struggling so he wasn’t happy, I don’t think he’s the only one. I think Zaun should be so unhappy.
i think Thomas is still a good player. he walks a lot and can still hit home runs. they got careless and cut him way too early. the season is still young and i bet he will hit about 25 hr for another AL team. i predict he goes to Baltimore or Minnesota. Baltimore because they have millar bating behind nick the stick markakis and he needs protection also they aren’t doing that bad and might like a veteran. Minnesota because there DH is garbage.
doubt he will go to a NL team because he has not played first base since 2004 with the white sox.
they are still going to struggle, though somebody brought up the idea of them getting bonds, that would be the same as having Thomas. bonds isn’t exactly mr. clutch either. i just dont think the jays had it with or without the hurt.
I know a team that might like to try him. Oh wait, they aren’t taking guys ending their careers anymore. They are taking new guys, and it is working out fairly well.
yes, chemistry is unmatched in the MLB
