How Long Till A Universal Cancer Treament?

I was just reading a story on bbc news about a finding on the p53 gene and wondered how long till a secure cancer treatment is found.
I’m always reading stories about small improvments but do you think in the next say 10-15 years technological and medical advancments will help us to tackle alot more diseases that we struggle with now?

  1. Having a single cure for hundreds of diseases would be wonderful, but if it should ever happen it will be many years from now as it is too far from our comprehension.
