How Can I Get The American Cancer Society To Quit Harassing Me?
They have called almost daily for weeks at a time and ignore my request to take me off the list and STOP CALLING!! I have donated to the Cancer Walks, fund raisers, door to door requests, etc. I am to the point of changing charities.
You joined YA answers just to ask how to stop the cancer society from calling you? It makes no sense. They have my number and I have cancer and they don’t call me, except the time they gave me a gas card for my long trips to radiation treatments. Maybe you shouldn’t be giving your number out so freely?
Like the first poster said, get your number on the national registry. I have mine on it because of all the annoying calls from everywhere. Once you donate money to any organization, this happens. I donated to the Cancer society, the heart association, animal rescue leagues etc. oh,veterans too. Once I retired, I had to stop, The were constantly calling me and I told them I retired and was no longer able to give them money. It was out of the question because shortly after I retired, my husband had 3 heart attacks and he was out of work. Like you, they didn’t stop, so I put in a complaint and that’s when I found out about the “Do not call” list. It works. try it.
so tell them that, if they don’t stop harrassing you, you will choose to support some other charity. Of course you could put your phone number onto the do not call national registry, then it would be illegal for them to call you at all.
