Elections: “liberals Are A Cancer On The Ability To Think Rationally About Anything”– How True?
This is, perhaps, ONE extreme View-Point!
What is Your Take on this Generalization / Conclusion ?
By the goings on, I feel it is true to some significant extent. There is some sort of Hero Worship there in the entire Liberal Campaign that discourages any independent rational analysis & clouds a fair judgment.
What do you say?
Say anything but with supporting, convincing reasons, please.
We are in a Democracy & Let’s ANALYZE!
..
Liberals are the most hateful group of people I can think of. It’s a good thing they don’t (for the most part) like firearms or they would invite Al Qaida to dinner.
Every election year I go put out signs for the Republican Party and they are stolen by Liberals and replaced with Democrat signs within two days.
They think there is nothing wrong with what ACORN is doing and support a Presidential Candidate whose buddies include Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko and Khalidi. This is disturbing.
This is proof enough for me that Liberals are irrational.
Liberals in general aren’t a cancer on rational thinking.
They genuinely believe that they are not only right, but superior in their OPINION. Opinions are neither right nor wrong. Many liberals, not all are deluded into intellectual elitism, politicism, and name-calling. The same can be said about some Conservatives.
So, because facts should be the source of subjective thinking and opinion formation, source of information becomes important to understand what happened, motivations of those involved, and possible slants of the author who wrote it.
Every one is going to have a bias that clouds fair judgment, though.
To be fair, any group mentality deemphasizes rational thinking. Subconsciously, people are led to the majority thinking, even if it wasn’t the majority opinion in the first place. It does not necessarily belong to one political party, socioeconomic group, occupational group, etc. Sadly this effects all of us. Teenagers often fall victim to this. One member of the group starts the “I don’t know what do you want to do?” and everyone in the group says it. Or we especially see this with trends. Unfortunately, the Liberals had it hit big time this year.
It is ridiculous right-wing conservative rhetoric which encourages people to fear anything that does not agree with the right-wing conservative agenda. Ironically, this statement is exactly what would discourage any “independent rational analysis,” and instead suggests that “liberal” ideas should be dismissed outright as “irrational” and “cancerous.”
In short, it is rubbish. Republican for Obama (above) hit the nail on the head.
So you make an outrageous statement, say it’s true without any reference, and then try and required that answerers have-
“supporting, convincing reasons,”
In their answers.
That’s really cracked.
Lemme try it,
“Republicans are all really cracked in the head and all have air bubbles in their brains.”

See how easy it is??
I don’t think it’s a hero worship sort of deal. I think that liberals have a chemical component or connnection missing in their brains that don’t allow their ability to think rationally.
If you listen to most of them, they don’t make a whole lot of sense. When given the other point of view, they get mad. The only rational conclusion to that would be their feeling of shame for being pointed out that they were wrong in their thinking and can’t handle it. The same reaction would occur with a cheating spouse being called out on being caught.
I don’t agree. One time the bipartisan was absolutely two parties, but I see them blending together nowadays. In many elections, there was no hero worship like in this campaign. Nothing clouds my judgment as I base my choice on real facts and not negative and back stabbing campaigns. I, for one, am not influenced by anything unless it is convincing and hopefully true. I am my own person and capable of my own decisions. No one will sway me when I have made up my mind. The real heroes are out on the battle lines protecting us and giving up their lives for us. My judgment is intact.
I remember when Ross Perot ran as an independent and had a good chance to win but then he backed out. I split my vote if I want to and vote for who I want to. When I close that curtain, it is just me and my votes. I do not like to be categorized , nor do I liked to have to say I am a Republican or Democrat. It is the person that I feel is best qualified that I vote for, no matter what the party.
The days when Democrats were for the poor are long gone people.
GREED is the cancer.
It is only a “hero worship” type deal to you, because you’ve seen the destruction that George W. Bush has caused, the useless war, the trillions of dollars spent funding this war(Bin Laden was NEVER IN IRAQ), the jobs that left America and went to India, the lack of funding to the No Child Left Behind act, etc.
Republican’s has forced the hand of the people. Now we must act, before we get more of the same old same. Obama is not a Messiah or a Hero, he is an American man that wants more for his country and his country men. It is clear that Liberals do not have clouded views, with the past eight years opening our eyes to pure evil(violations made by the Bush Admin. to the Geneva Convention), we are ready to do what is best for our country. Now, if that’s not putting country first, then you tell me what is.
I think you said it as well as I could have so will not comment further other than to say that the primary reason for putting any person in public office should be based on the strength of his character as well as his experience and record. For me, Sen. Obama has left to many unanswered questions that make me wonder about his character and judgement. That combined with his lack of experience (equally true with Palin) does not allow me to put my trust in him or his policies.
McCain for 08
Any time someone claims intellectual superiority over an opposing view point…..you can rest assured that it is THEIR viewpoint which is bankrupt…morally, intellectually and in every other way.
If you disagree with something, you give a reasoned argument WHY. Just saying you are better/they are worse is at the level of second grade name calling.
how low a person have to be in order to a repulican.?
they are liar and hypocrites
republican never win a elections on issues that matter to the american people . they invented dirty tricks in politic, and that is how they always win elections
I’m a proud democrat voter because democrat voters are free thinkers who examine information, and think for themselves
republicans are incapable of think, and they sound like a broking right ring tv or radio
maybe if conservatives would stop criticizing “liberals” all of the time and ranting nonsensical bs…..and instead take a look at why their own party has lost appeal to midlde America…. McCain would have had a better chance and you wouldn’t have to complain like immature idiots on yahoo all day..
How’s that for rational ?
Liberalism DEMANDS that we “act stupid”.
Liberalism DEMANDS that we PRETEND that “little old ladies” are just as possible to be terrorists at an airport than middle-eastern males.
Liberalism DEMANDS that we PRETEND that people (blacks in this example) who drop out of high school at disproportional rates, are somehow a sign of “society’s racism” when these people can find good-paying jobs.
How about asking some peoplewith experience at analyzing evidence?
61 Nobel prize scientists publicly endorse Obama:http://election2008.aaas.org/docs/Nobel%…
So do Colin Powell, and Paul Krugman (this year’s Nobel Memorial Economics prize winner).
I have yet to see empiracle data to back that statement up. Without supporting evidence it seems to an opinion, and a flawed one at that.
Close enough. They ask for & (the bigger ones) promise “Utopia” with no effort apart from demanding.
Generation “E” for entitlement.
Got kids? Then you’ve heard it before, immaturity … with a mouth.
I don’t think either side has a corner on rationality. The libs are correct when they say we should look after the environment, and the conservatives are right when they recommend fiscal restraint and support for traditional values.
This has nothing to due with this question, Im sorry you lost 10 points on one of my question, I had 12 violations the other morning. Im sorry! Your question, Im confused !
I think anything emotional isn’t rational.
I say you’re sadly mistaken.
Close enough to me
if you don’t like it leave, or did I steal your line
