Do You Think People Who Smoke Deserve To Get Cancer And Die?

I think people who die from smoking deserve it. They knew the bad side effects yet they still smoke and know better. I have no sympathy for any of you smokers.

  1. No, nobody deserves cancer. Have a little compassion and understanding.
    Most people currently dying of smoking related cancers are over 60. They grew up in a time when just about everyone smoked – when I was a child I thought it was just something all adults did, and assumed I would too some day. It’s a wonder I never started smoking.
    In those days the full dangers of smoking weren’t understood. And still today, most people who smoke started in their teens, when not only did they not fully comprehend the dangers, but smoking is considered cool and adult. And it’s an addiction.
    You want to blame someone, blame the companies that continue to manufacture and promote cigarettes, blame the governments that allow them to do so because they want the revenue. Blame those who make a profit from other people’s suffering. Don’t wish an agonising disease and a hideously painful death on complete strangers.
    And just ask yourself – how sensitive is it to post on a forum used by people dealing with all types of cancer and express the opinion that some people, any people, deserve to go through and die from cancer?

  2. I dont think anyone deserves to go through cancer. My experiences were so bad that I wouldnt even wish what I have been through on to the worst child killer that has ever existed. Much less would I think smokers deserve to get cancer because they were smokers.
    Sure, we all ‘know’ the risks of smoking in this day and age. But is a 13 year old who has never seen the effects first hand really able to comprehend those risks? Does a 13 year old understand what cancer is, if they have never seen it? Does a 13 year old understand what copd is, if they dont know anyone who has it?
    As far as adults who continue to smoke.. Its an addiction. That doesnt excuse it, but it sure does explain it. Scientific research shows that smoking is harder to quit than heroine, and there arent nearly enough resources out there to help long term smokers quit.. atleast, not that are easily accesable. Many people dont have insurance, most insurance companies dont cover smoking cessation meds. And many people need help from a professional addiction counselor.
    I think instead of blaming the victim, we should be doing what we can to help smokers quit, to prevent our children from every starting in the first place, and regulating the tobacco companies, who purposefully target minors because they know it is guaranteed income for the future.

  3. You are a mean, vindictive, heartless person. Do you drink alcohol? Do you over eat? Are you fat? do you exercise regularly for a strong healthy heart? NO?? Gee, do you deserve to live?? Are you so perfect that all smokers should die because perfect people like you need to breath healthy air. I pity you. No, I really do. To live a life like you do with such an unhealthy attitude toward people you’ve never met. What a sick, sick mind. You should be ashamed of yourself. Someday, you will be judged by every word that comes out of your mouth and we won’t be the ones judging you. I’ll pray for you,

  4. well..everyone dies right? of course, but saying someone deserved it sounds awful, even though they smoked. i smoke cigarettes and i know the consequences, every smoker would have to be a retard not to know. no one has to feel sympathy because people make their own choices. some people actually smoke to ease up, but they know it will only make it worse. smoking would only be ******* stupid if people couldn’t die, but only if you chose to smoke, you did. but either way, anti smokers and smokers…die. no one wants to be that old anyways.

    Are you a fat pig who is going to die of an enlarged heart while taking a dump on the toilet in your trailer? Probably, but I don’t care enough to rub it in your miserable face.

    if that’s your opinion, i hope you also think that people that go to tanning beds or lay out in the sun should get cancer and die… or people that are overweight should develop a heart condition and die

    I disagree because in the olden days people did not know the effects of smoking and did not think it was bad for you.

  10. Yup i agree with that too, if they weren’t so stupid, they wouldn’t smoke ever, and they would live longer! Too bad.

  11. hells yes!! i think they should it’s freakin stupid i dont feel sorry for any smoker i just tell them whose fault is that, when you cant breathe
