Can Kidney Cancer Cause Loud Belching And Nausea?
Husband, 68, has KC. He has been nauseated for 2 weeks with loud belching, as loud as you can get. I think he also has gastritis.
The doctors will not discuss it! None of 4 doctors will treat it!! All he has gotten is anti-nausea medication. Is it gastritis? He NEVER drinks alcohol. But had drank 6 cans of Coke Zero per day for many years.
The cancer wouldn’t do that unless he’s on chemo. However, I have gastritis and my doctor prescribes medication for the nausea and vomiting. I too am loud when I vomit. There are times I’d rather vomit than put up with nausea. The anti-emetic pill, don’t always work. He has some pretty ignorant doctors if they won’t even address this problems. Is he seeing a Gastroenterologist? That’s who I have and he’s terrific. I can’t imagine out of 4 Dr’s, they won’t help him with this. First thing he should do is stay of the coke, It only makes it worse. I have other intestinal problems as well but I do know first hand, Coke or any soda is no good for gastritis and no spicy foods. If he’s eating spicy foods, which I think would hurt him anyway, and drinking Coke, this will happen. I’ve been a nurse for 30+ yrs, (retired now) but I don’t forget and I’ve had patients like your husband. Tell him to at least give it a try. If he’s addicted to Coke Zero, he may have to start by tapering off because people can get addicted to sodas. Then he should consider seeing a Gastroenterologist. He will get help from one of them. What kind of Dr doesn’t discuss any physical problems? This is really upsetting to me. I hope he goes to another Dr and gets the help he needs with the nausea and vomiting. Good luck to him and God bless both of you.
Not that I know of, no. Gastritis can cause nausea and can be caused by stress (excess secretion of stomach acids) or say your husband had a stomach virus a few months back, if that were true then that could be the cause of the gastritis. My brother had gastritis because of that, the virus kind of spread to his intestines and gave him indigestion and stomach pains whenever he ate specific foods.
I don’t believe that it is gastritis, though. But I have never heard of Kidney Cancer causing symptoms like that.
The strange behavior of the doctors baffles me, perhaps they have no idea what it is so they are just prolonging treatment, or whatever it is has no treatment.
I wish I could help more, but I am not that good yet.
